Our Shorthorns

    It all started in 1946 when Norris' grandfather (Ed Albaugh) first began the Albaugh's shorthorn herd with cattle purchased from the Midwest Shorthorn Congress sale.

    Our herd is registered with the American Milking Shorthorn Society, and are in the Native program. This means that their predecessors must trace back to the original herd books with no outside breed influence.  

    They truly personify and stay true to the old, dual purpose Durham Shorthorn that has stayed in style on our ranch since 1946.
